Honda UK is sending all owners of its new CR-V a special sticker to assist them in responding to the ill-informed claims of anti-4x4 groups.
The stickers, and accompanying letter, contain the message “NOT ALL 4x4s ARE THE SAME” in response to criticisms that 4WD vehicles are too big, too dangerous and too enviromentally unfriendly.
“The 'one size fits all' approach of anti-4x4 protesters is confusing.” says John Kingston, environment manager for Honda.
"Some customers have expressed their concerns and frustration about being criticised for driving a CR-V, which is economical, clean-running, smaller than most luxury sedans and remarkably safe."
The new Honda CR-V is smaller than a BMW 5-Series and has lower C02 emissions than a MINI Cooper S.
