The Jeep marque is no longer reserved solely for rugged off-road vehicles. Licensed Jeep products have created a multi-million dollar revenue source for DaimlerChrysler, and the Jeep logo can be found on T-shirts, caps, coffee mugs, pens, clothes, camping/outdoor gear, radios and watches as Jeep owners, or wannabes, pay to be associated with the brand.
It seems nothing can be ruled out with licensing. One of our readers sent us details of the Jeep Wrangler Pet Stroller - which takes walking the dog (or cat) to a whole new level. There is even a website, justpetstrollers.com, so you can check out the whole range.
The site lists a number of key features for the Jeep Wrangler Pet Stroller, including water-repellent fabric, parent tray to hold keys or beverages, shock absorbers, bug-proof mesh and storage basket. Customers can also up-grade to the Rubicon model (USD$240) which is capable of carrying a larger dog or cat, has additional brakes, quick release tires and a pump.
One happy customer states "It managed some very rough terrain and is still intact.”
We definitely will not be undertaking a test drive.
